Richard Bresler Interview - "Write Down What You Want"

Training in martial arts like Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (BJJ), Judo, wrestling, & Muay Thai is my outlet for improving my mental health and becoming a better person.

On this twenty-eighth episode of the podcast, I chat with Richard Bresler. Richard is the first American to ever train Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu with the Gracie family when they came over from Brazil. Richard recently became an author when he wrote and released "Worth Defending: How Gracie Jiu-Jitsu Saved My Life". He also operates an alternative healing practice that helps clients change their lives through nutrition and holistic practices.

On this episode, Richard shares how living with Rorion Gracie and his family changed his life. When Rorion first arrived in America from Brazil, he met Richard Bresler and enrolled him as the first student in Gracie Jiu-Jitsu. Over the next year of living with Rorion, Richard learned from legends of BJJ like Helio Gracie, Rickson Gracie, Relson Gracie, and many more. He would go on to become an instructor and teach Jiu-Jitsu to people from all walks of life.

On this episode of the Jiu-Jitsu Outlet podcast, we talk about the lessons that Richard learned from the Gracie family. We also dive into discussing the importance of nutrition and how to achieve goals. Richard shares about why its essential to write down your goals if you want to achieve them and make them real. We also talk about the confidence of Rickson Gracie and what the average person can learn from training in Jiu-Jitsu.

You will learn about why Gracie Jiu-Jitsu can help people with addiction. You will also hear about why nutrition and holistic health is essential if you want to succeed on and off the mats.

This is an episode you do NOT want to miss.
