How To 15x Your Oxygen Levels For Jiu-Jitsu - Nick Wingo Interview

Training in martial arts like Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (BJJ), Judo, wrestling, & Muay Thai is my outlet for improving my mental health and becoming a better person.

On this twenty-sixth episode of the podcast, I chat with Nick Wingo. Nick specializes in helping people master their breathing. Nick is a breathwork coach who helps his students understand how to incorporate powerful breathing exercises into their daily routines.

After spending his youth training in combat martial arts like Muay Thai and Jiu-Jitsu, Nick became a firefighter. Motivated by service, Nick chose to become a first responder and help his community.

Life on the front lines of service can bring demons after retirement. Eighteen years of firefighting left Nick with post traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and a host of other mental health issues. Through discovering the power of breathwork, Nick was able to change his life and pull himself out of the darkness. Now, after discovering the power of Soma breathwork, Nick has dedicated himself to sharing this life changing information with humanity.

On this episode, you will learn about the basics of Soma breathwork and why you should incorporate daily breathing practices into your life. We dive into the science behind the breath and why practices like chanting mantras can be powerful ways to boost oxygen production.

This is an episode you do NOT want to miss.

"Science has found that when you 'OM' chant, you produce 15x as much oxygen as when you breathe through your mouth."
