Scott Pelzel From Scotty P. Breakdowns - "If You Apply Your Mind To Something You Can Figure It Out"

Training in martial arts like Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (BJJ), Judo, wrestling, & Muay Thai is my outlet for improving my mental health and becoming a better person.

On this thirty-fourth episode of the Jiu-Jitsu Outlet Podcast, I talk to Scott Pelzel. Scott hosts the Scotty P Breakdown YouTube channel where he breaks down high level grappling from Jiu-Jitsu, wrestling, MMA, & street fights. He is also a brown belt in Jiu-Jitsu and an accomplished competitor.

On this episode, Scott shares about how Jiu-Jitsu helped him during his time in the military. When he was deployed with the United States Marine Corps (USMC), Scott relied on Jiu-Jitsu to help him have an outlet from the stress he experienced every day.

Since leaving active duty, Scott works with students and coaches them to become better competitors. Scott has developed a lot of experience about how Jiu-Jitsu can help a person become more confident.

Scott and I discuss how Jiu-Jitsu has helped his mental health. We also talk about the pros and cons of grappling vs. boxing and why we both feel that Jiu-Jitsu provides a better self defense skillset. We also chat about our favorite martial arts books and some other fun topics.

Listen to the full interview and you will learn about how Jiu-Jitsu can help you deal with stress in life and build more confidence.

This is an episode you do NOT want to miss.
