Jiu-Jitsu Outlet Podcast - "Lose That Ego & Go Through The Fire"!
Training in martial arts like Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (BJJ), Judo, wrestling, & Muay Thai is my outlet for improving my mental health and becoming a better person.
On this thirteenth episode of the podcast, I sit down with my friend and training partner Nate Perez. Nate is a blue belt in BJJ, a former wrestler, and an amateur MMA fighter with a record of 2-0. In addition to training in martial arts over the course of his life, Nate has also served in the Army National Guard.
On this episode, we discuss how the martial arts have transformed Nate's life since he dove in headfirst. We talk about how young adults need an initiation experience and how this is missing from society. We hear about the internal evolution that Nate has experienced and how it has impacted his growth as a person.
Nate talks about the importance of cultivating a beginner's mind, losing your ego, continuing to show up for your goals, and maturing into an adult through an initiation like martial arts or the military.

This is an episode you do NOT want to miss.
