Joy Hadler Interview On The Jiu-Jitsu Outlet Podcast - "Things Started Making Sense To Me"

Training in martial arts like Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (BJJ), Judo, wrestling, & Muay Thai is my outlet for improving my mental health and becoming a better person.

On this twenty-second episode of the podcast, I chat with Joydeep (Joy) Hadler. Training out of India, Joy is a black belt in Kyokushin style Karate. Joy is also a business owner and job creator working to create opportunities in India for others.

On this episode, Joy shares how training multiple times per week and sparring outdoors everyday has shaped his mindset. Training for just a few years, Joy has been able to earn a black belt despite going through difficult times in his personal life. Despite the hardship in his external world, Joy has learned how to re-shape his mindset through difficult training.

Joy talks about why it is important to include sparring in your martial arts training. We discuss the fact that many martial arts schools do not practice sparring and why this is not beneficial for developing what Joy calls a "Budo Spirit". Joy explains that he learned how to make sense of his life through training in the martial arts. Through training outdoors in difficult all-weather conditions, Joy and his teammates have developed a cohesion community.

On this episode, you will learn about how training in full-contact martial arts creates a better life off the mats by improving discipline, your internal conversations, and confidence.

This is an episode you do NOT want to miss.
